Still Sewing Collages

I am still at it as you can see. Seems everyone is pulling at me from so many places, there just aren't enough hours in the day. It's my own fault, I know I just tend to take on too much and my mind wants to do more than my body can. It's just the artists way, I am told. Anyway, I enjoy everything I do and that's what counts in life, isn't it?

Tis The Season To Collage.

I love collage even more during the fall and winter months. They are my favorite times of the year. Call me crazy, but something about the hot weather being over revives me. I love the smell of the wood stoves burning, seeing the colorful leaves falling, and the brisk days. I am happy to be able to live in a place where I can truly see the season colors. When the snow comes, the little that I get, maybe 6-7 days a year, I am like a child waiting for Santa. I get up many times, through the night to see if it's here yet. I know those of you that get tons are cursing me now, or are surely thinking me nutty, but I am a former So Cal girl that had never seen snow fall before moving here so bare with now!

IT'S A FAMILY AFFAIR

Here is some art of my family I thought I'd share with you today. It won't be long til I'll be adding some of baby "Mia" Less than 8 weeks to go now.

My Little Serenity

I am not much of a gardener but here is my little space for calming and tranquility. Most of that I get through my art, but when outdoors here's what I see. Oh, and take special notice of the friends that come to visit daily. They bring their babies but they are too quick for me to snap. They run like kangaroos.

Life With The Fires And All...

A lot has happened since I've been gone. I am going to be a grandma for the first time! I've had two major surgeries, both in the same day. I developed an infection because of one. Slowed down my recovery. I've been evacuated from my home because of wild land fires which are still burning in my area. I am back now and my home is safe. It is so smoky here, they are recommending we don't even go outside.So, enough of that! I am back to my art! Here's a pic of my latest art and watch for more. They are coming soon, cuz I've been busy now that I am feeling better.
